They say necessity is the mother of invention. Maybe that's what led me to reinvent my career a couple of times across my 4 decades.

After spending 17 years in front line oil & gas field operations roles, it was becoming more and more evident that technology systems were advancing and would hold the keys to information insights that could drive results further forward. With that belief in place, I took my first 180 degree leap and moved into a pretty junior IT role where I could learn new and invaluable skills. A decade later, much of which was spent delivering projects alongside both internal staff and external consultants, my observations were that a "not so small" gap remained between IT and Business stakeholders when it came to mutual understanding. Having spent roughly equivalent parts of my career in both domains, I was increasingly compelled to make another career leap in an attempt to offer something of a bridge by way of a composite skill background to a broader segment of industry. That is when Vaqero was born.

A decade after its birth, the Vaqero  team remains anchored in that intrinsic motivation and continues our focus on helping organizations improve their operational results in the areas of maintenance, inspection, measurement, production, HSE, field mobility and about anything else the field stakeholders need to manage on a daily basis.
